Linden Gay Tripp, a former resident of Pilot Knob, passed away May 27, 2012 at Belleview Valley Nursing Home in Belleview at the age of 51 years.
He was born July 31, 1960 in Ironton, Missouri to the late Leamond H. Tripp and Ruby M. (Hawkins) Tripp. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Janet K. Slusher.
Surviving are:one brother, James Tripp of St. Louis; one niece, Leslie Matlock of Columbia, Illinois; other family members and friends.
He was a member of Pilot Knob General Baptist Church.
A Celebration of Life Service was held Wednesday, May 30th, at 2:00 PM at White Funeral Home Chapel in Ironton.Interment was in Arcadia Valley Memorial Park in Ironton.

Brenda Marie Tiefenauer, age 65, passed away at her residence in Pilot Knob on April 25, 2012.
She was born February 11, 1947 in Roselle, Missouri to the late Elmer and Mable (Casteel) Campbell.
On September 30, 1967 she was married to Richard G. Tiefenauer, I, who preceded her in death in 1994.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Elmer Junior Campbell and Richard Campbell.
Surviving are: two sons, Richard Tiefenauer, II and wife Tanya of Ironton, Kenneth Tiefenauer and wife,
Sarah of Ironton; one daughter, Anna, Mrs. Mickey Duncan of Ironton; two sisters, Lottie Trotter of Ironton
and Lorene Robbs of Roselle; 6 grandchildren, Katie, Bradie, Kristen, Abigail, Ethan, and Caden; other
family members and a host of friends.
She was a member of A.V. Eagles Lodge #4238.
A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, April 28th, at 11:00 AM at White Funeral Home Chapel. In-

Judy E. Ridlon, a former resident of Ironton, passed away Sunday, March 31, 2012 at Camelot Nursing
Center in Farmington at the age of 83 years.
She was born September 9, 1928 in Grygla, Minnesota to the late Edward and Olu ne (Dalen) Jelle.
She was married to Ernest R. Ridlon, who preceded her in death on June 27, 2006.
Surviving are: one son, Robin Ridlon of Arcadia; four daughters, Linda Amelung of Ironton, Sandy Thomp-
son of Belleview, Bonnie Winchester of Lebanon, and Mary Kramer of Fredericktown; 15 grandchildren and
a host of great-grandchildren; two brothers, Robert Jelle and Russell Jelle, both of Minneapolis, Minnesota;
two sisters, Alma Johnson and Myrtlle Lee, both of Thief River Falls, Minnesota; many other family mem-
bers, and a host of friends.
She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses in Arcadia at the time of her death.

Ernie R. Ridlon, a resident of Ironton, passed away on June 27 at the Mineral Area Regional Medical
Center in Farmington, at the age of 79.
He was born October 31, 1926 in Little Falls Minn., to Cli ord and Bessie (Dahlen) Ridlon.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Betty Thornton, and a son-in-law, Glenn Harbison.
He was married to Judy (Jelle) Ridlon, who survives. Also surviving are, one son, Robin Ernie Ridlon
(Debbie) of Arcadia; four daughters, Linda, Mrs. Larry Amelung of Ironton, Sandy, Mrs. Gary Thompson
of Belleview, Bonnie Cletcher and friend Mike of Lebanon and Mary, Mrs. Deon Kramer of Perryville; 19
grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren; two brothers, Glenn Ridlon of Park Rapids, Minn., and Lenard
Ridlon of Akeley, Minn.; two sisters, Pearl Semmler of Akeley Minn., and Susie Scott of Anoka Minn.; other
family members and a host of friends.
He was an Army veteran of WWII and was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses in Arcadia.
Funeral Services were held on June 30 at the whit Funeral Home and Chapel with Bro. Duane Baker o ci-
ating. Interment was in Arcadia Valley Memorial Park in Ironton.
Arrangements were under the direction of White Funeral Home in Ironton.

FAYE WHITED, a resident of Ironton, passed away August 3, 2006 at the Parkland Health Center in
Farmington at the age of 71 years.

She was born October 19, 1934 in Ironton, MO to John B. and Minnie (Collins) Lotz.

Surviving are: ve sons, Ed of Ironton, Ken of Ironton, Larry of Poplar Blu , Gary of the state of Kansas
and Jim of the state of Alaska; three daughters, Melody Pauley of Potosi, Vickie Barton of Pilot Knob
and Deborah Brandel of Ironton; 16 grandchildren, Joshua, David, Michael, Matthew, Adara, Ben, Lindsey,
Chad, Heather, Darrin, Cory, Hailey, Heather, Chris, Bradley, Brian, and 5 great grandchildren; other family
members and a host of friends.

Services will be held on Monday, August 7th, at 7:00 PM at the White Funeral Home Chapel with Rev.
John Canterberry o ciating. The Committal Service will be private. Visitation will begin Monday at 5:00
PM. Arrangements are under the direction of White Funeral Home in Ironton.

KENNETH WAYNE GRIFFITH, age 64, passed away August 7, 2006 at his residence in Annapolis.

He was born June 15, 1942 in Moberly, Missouri, the son of Ernest and Pearl (Pryor) Wright.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Kenneth, Jr., four brothers and four sisters.

Surviving are: his wife, Shirley (Casteel) Gri th of Annapolis; three daughters, Jennifer Evans of Hartsburg,
Louise Neiderkorn of Des Arc, and Stephanie Peterson of A ton; one son, Scott Peterson of Beale Air Force Base, CA; 8 grandchildren, Amber, Tuesday, Destiny, K.C., Heather, Justin, Brandon and Carlie; two sisters, Donna Thompson of Moscow Mills and Linda Hatcher of the state of Indiana; many other relatives and a host of friends.

He worked as an air conditioning repairman and was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam war.

THOMAS DEAN GREEN, a resident of Ironton, passed away October 7, 2006 at the Southbrook Skilled
Care Center in Farmington at the age of 71 years.

He was born October 15, 1934 in Kansas City, Missouri to Thomas A. and Jessie M. (Sanders) Green.
His parents and one infant brother, James, preceded him in death.
Surviving are: his wife, Ellen Marie (Nash) Green of Ironton; two sisters, Dorothy Haase of Winchester,
KS and his twin sister, Jean Young of Pleasant Hill, MO; three brothers, Jesse Green and wife, Irene of
Oak Grove, MO, Raymond Green and wife, Betty of Chilhowee, MO and Floyd Green and wife, Wanda of Farmersville, TX; one step-sister, Patti Harris of Independence, MO; one step-brother, Richard Pine; many other relatives and a host of friends.

LENA MAY ROBINETT, a resident of Ironton, passed away October 14, 2006 at The Baptist Home in
Ironton at the age of 95 years.

She was born May 5, 1911 in Bixby, Missouri to Henry and Dora (Strickland) Copeland.

She was married to Oga Robinett, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by two
sons, Earl Robinett and infant son, Ronald; four brothers, Roy, Otto, Emmet and Ronald Copeland; one
sister, Stella Shy, and one step-daughter, Esther Shy.Surviving are: two granddaughters, Rometa Tomlinson of St. Louis and Sharon Weber of Hawk Point,
MO; 2 step-grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Pilot Knob.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, October 17th, at 11:00 AM at the White Funeral Home Chapel

EVERETT WILLIAM PERSONS, a resident of Arcadia, passed away October 23, 2006 at his home at
the age of 89 years.

He was born April 16, 1917 in Iron County to Thomas Je erson and Katherine (Hasty) Persons.

On August 30, 1943 he married Hazel (Young) Persons. She preceded him in death in 1996.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by an infant son, Ricky William; ve brothers,
Edgar, Earl, Lonnie, Albert and Jim; two sisters, Elva Casteel and Edna Crosby.
Surviving are: two sons, Everett E. Persons and wife, Christina of Fredericktown and Roger Persons and
wife, Sheila of Ironton; two daughters, Evon, Mrs. Charles Turner of Arcadia and Sherry, Mrs. Doyal Hinkle of Fredericktown; 17 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren; other family members and a host of friends.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII and was a member of the American Legion Post #64.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, October 26th, at 12 noon at the White Funeral Home Chapel with
Rev. Charles Sutton o ciating. Interment will be in the Polk Cemetery in rural Arcadia. Visitation will be

William "Bud" Symonds (2006-12-27 01:47)



WILLIAM L. BUD SYMONDS, a resident of Ironton, passed away December 27, 2006 at the Mineral
Area Regional Medical Center in Farmington at the age of 90 years.

He was born August 10, 1916 in Ironton, Missouri to Clevland and Cornelia (McFarlin) Symonds.

He was married to Esther Leota (Prier) Symonds, who preceded him in death.

He later married Estelle L. (Hinshaw) Symonds, who survives.

Other surviving family include: one son, Bill Symonds of Ironton; one step-daughter, Bonnie Singer of
Ironton; 1 grandchild and 2 great grandchildren; other family members and a host of friends.
He was a 1933 graduate of Ironton High School and worked most of his life as an electrician.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, December 30th, at 11:00 AM at the White Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Joseph Lawson o ciating. Interment will be in Arcadia Valley Memorial Park in Ironton. Visitation

Elgin O. Dettmer
On Monday, January 15, 2007, a Committal Service will be held for Elgin O. John Dettmer of Port
Charlotte, Florida, who passed away on December 15, 2006 and for his wife, who preceded him in death on June 24, 1993.

He was born February 25, 1917, the son of Louis and Mae (Myracle) Dettmer. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and one sister.

He leaves to mourn; one brother, Lang (Pat) Dettmer of Roselle, one sister, Adella Gardner of Arcadia,
and many other relatives and friends.

Mr. Dettmer served his country during World War II in the United States Air Force and then returned
to his former employment in Detroit, Michigan. He married Irene Bostick of West Virginia in 1953. They
lived in Michigan until retiring to Florida in 1974.

The service will be conducted by Rev. Ed Rhodes. Interment will be in the Arcadia Valley Memorial
Park in Ironton under the direction of White Funeral Home.


James W. "Buddy" Payne
James W. Buddy Payne, a former resident of Ironton, passed away January 16, 2007 at St. Anthony s
Medical Center in St. Louis, Missouri at the age of 89 years.

He was born March 20, 1917 in Leadwood, MO to James Oscar and Nellie (Cain) Payne.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Evanell (Mayes) Payne, one grandson, Michael Payne, three brothers
and one sister. Surviving are: one son, James E. Payne of St. Louis; one daughter, Beverly Valentine of Paducah, KY; 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; other relatives and a host of friends.

He served his country during WWII in the United States Navy and was a member of Stouts Creek Baptist
Church in Ironton.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, January 19th, at 11:00 AM at the White Funeral Home Chapel with
Pastor Mike Hagerty o ciating. Interment will be in Arcadia Valley Memorial Park in Ironton. Visitation

Mammie McLaughlin
MAMMIE McLAUGHLIN, a resident of Graniteville, passed away January 16, 2007 at Meadowbrook Residential Care in Pilot Knob at the age of 93 years.

She was born in Graniteville, Missouri on March 20, 1913 to Sidney and Samantha (Thurman) Belcher.
She was married to Charles James McLaughlin, who preceded her in death in 1985. One son, Robert
McLaughlin also preceded her in death.

Surviving are two nieces; Loretta Speakman of St. Louis and Shirley Crocker of Graniteville; one nephew,
Charles Kitchens of Ironton; other relatives and a host of friends.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, January 18th, at 11:00 AM at the White Funeral Home Chapel
with Rev. Joseph Lawson o ciating. Interment will be in Arcadia Valley Memorial Park in Ironton.

Pearl Anderson
PEARL ANDERSON, a resident of Ironton, passed away February 8, 2007 at her home at the age of
93 years.

She was born October 27, 1913 in Middlebrook, Missouri to Willis and Della (Lashley) Anderson.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, Kate and Ruby Anderson, and Viola Rennie; two brothers,
Marion and Jack Anderson. Surviving are: a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, other family members and many friends.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 10th, at 10:00 AM at the White Funeral Home Chapel
with Rev. Mike Hagerty o ciating. Interment will be in the Middlebrook Cemetery. Visitation will be

Geraldine Hubbs
GERALDINE ELIZABETH HUBBS, formerly of Ironton, passed away February 18, 2007 at the Camelot
Nursing Center in Farmington at the age of 68 years.

She was born April 23, 1938 in Pilot Knob, Missouri to the late Curtis and Dora (Bleu) Vance.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Hubbs and one son, Michael Orrick.
Surviving are: two daughters, Jeannie, Mrs. Chet Walter of Bismarck and Sue, Mrs. Leonard Hall of
Fort Myers Beach, FL; three sons, Ronnie Orrick and wife, D.J. of Arkansas, Randy Orrick and wife, Jane
of Bunker Hill, IL and Ricky Orrick of Pilot Knob; a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one
brother, Grover Vance of Pilot Knob; three sisters, Fae Inman of Ironton, Deloris of Ironton and Wanda
Dearomede of De Soto.

She worked many years as a cook at the Kozy Korner Restaurant and was a member of Harvest Chris-
tian Center in Park Hills.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, February 21, at 11:00 AM at the White Funeral Home Chapel
with Pastor Dwight Jones and Pastor George DeClue o ciating. Interment will be in the K. of P. Cemetery
in Ironton.

Betty Jean Lambert
BETTY JEAN LAMBERT, a resident of Lesterville, passed away at her home on March 28, 2007 at the age of 67 years.
She was born May 20, 1939 in Lesterville, Missouri to Oliver and Lena (Sutton) Adkins.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.

On June 29, 1962 she was married to Loren Gale Lambert, who survives.

In addition to her husband, Gale, she is survived by one brother, many other relatives and a host of friends.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Belleview at the time of her death.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, March 31st, at 11:00 AM at the White Funeral Home Chapel with

Flossie J. Andrews
FLOSSIE JEWELL ANDREWS, age 93 years, passed away April 5, 2007 at the Iron County Hospital
in Pilot Knob, Missouri.

She was born March 21, 1914 at St. Aubert, Missouri, the daughter of Park Andrews Mitchem and Elsie
Jane Penning Mitchem.

On January 13, 1945 she was united in marriage to Harry Rocky Rockwell. He preceded her in death
in 1954. On June 30, 1956, she was married to Charles Andrews, who also preceded her in death.
She is survived by one step-son, Robert Andrews of St. Louis; one step-daughter, Audrey Wilhite of Hazel-
wood; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.

She was a member of the Kingshighway Baptist Church in St. Louis and had been a resident at The
Baptist Home in Ironton since 1991.

Funeral Services were held on Saturday, April 7th, at 10:00 AM at The Baptist Home Chapel with Rev.
Gerald Collier o ciating. Interment was in The Baptist Home Cemetery. Arrangements were under the
direction of White Funeral Home in Ironton.


Irene N. Pyrtle
IRENE N. PYRTLE, a resident of Fredericktown, passed away April 8, 2007 at Stockho Memorial Nursing Center in Fredericktown at the age of 91 years.

She was born January 25, 1916 at Bixby, Missouri to Robert and Anna (Stuart) Ramsey.
On August 11, 1934 she married John L. Pyrtle, who preceded her in death on April 30, 1980. One son,
Donald Pyrtle, also preceded her in death.

Surviving are: one son, Robert C. Pyrtle of Tempe, AZ; 5 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; two
sisters, Jessamine Devaney of Ironton and Ethel Zinisky of Glendale, AZ; one brother, Kenneth Ramsey of
Mesa, AZ; other family members and a host of friends.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, April 12th, at 10:30 AM at the White Funeral Home Chapel
with Rev. Bill Milam o ciating. Interment will be in Arcadia Valley Memorial Park in Ironton. Visitation

Hilda McLane
HILDA McLANE, age 88, passed away April 30, 2007 at Country Meadows Nursing Facility in Park Hills.

She was born July 14, 1918 at Annapolis, Missouri to Robert and Hattie (Mann) Pierson.

She married George Carl McLane, who preceded her in death on July 12, 1987. She was also preceded
in death by one son, Laird McLane, three brothers and three sisters.

Surviving are: one son, Robert McLane of Bismarck; one daughter, Sue Middleton of Wappapello; 6 grand-
children and 9 great grandchildren; one sister, Kathleen Burger of St. Charles; other family members and a
host of friends.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, May 2nd, at 10:00 AM at the White Funeral Home Chapel in
Ironton with Rev. Lawrence Kennon o ciating. Interment will be in the Mann Cemetery at Annapolis.

Emma Lorene Keathley
Emma Lorene Keathley, age 93 years, 3 months and 20 days, passed away Monday, June 4, 2007 at The
Baptist Home, Ironton, Missouri. She was born February 15, 1914 in Ironton, Missouri the daughter of
William Tyler Keathley and Martha Evaline Lewis Keathley.

The family moved to Russellville Road in 1938 and lived there until 1959 when Lorene and her sister,
Lester, moved to Reynolds Street in Ironton. In March 1984 they moved to The Baptist Home.
She is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and her Baptist Home family.
She was preceded in death by: her Parents, Brothers: Walker, Clarence, Elmer, Herschell, and Marshall, and Sisters: Della Tesreau, Lucille Famali, Nettie Helms, Lester Keathley and Myrene Wallace.

In earlier years, Lorene enjoyed embroidering, reading, and watching television. She was an avid Cardinals fan.

Lorene was a member of First Baptist Church in Ironton since March 1930. In February 2006 she was
recognized at The Baptist Home for seventy-six years perfect Sunday School attendance.

She had lived at The Baptist Home since March 12, 1984; twenty-three years and three months.

Services were held at The Baptist Home June 9, 2007 and internment in Arcadia Valley Memorial Park
under the direction of White Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions to The Baptist Home will be appreciated by the family.

LELA MERLE KNIGHT, a resident of Ironton, passed away July 6, 2007 at The Baptist Home in Ironton
at the age of 100 years.

She was born April 10, 1907 in Black, Missouri to George Washington Bay and E e Lou (Webb) Bay.
She was married on June 6, 1926 in Iron County to William Clarence Knight, who preceded her in death.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one son, George Knight, one brother, Edgar
Ray Bay, and one sister, Golda Olive Knight.

Surviving are: one daughter, Bonnie, Mrs. Gregor Moe of Spring eld, IL; two grandchildren, Sonya Moe of
St. Louis, MO and Erik Moe of Spring eld, IL; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ironton at the time of her death.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, July 10th, at 10:00 AM at the White Funeral Home Chapel with
Rev. Gerald Collier o ciating. Interment will be in Arcadia Valley Memorial Park in Ironton. Visitation

Isabell Trussell
ISABELL TRUSSELL, age 102 years, passed away at her residence near Annapolis on July 11, 2007.
She was born September 30, 1904 in Greene County, Alabama to Benjamin and Nancy Perry.

She was married to Lloyd Trussell, who preceded her in death in 1976.

She was also preceded in death by one son, Ed Billups, Jr., and eight siblings.

Surviving are: one daughter, Ann Belton of Annapolis; three granddaughters, numerous great-grandchildren
and great-great grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews; other family members and friends.

She was a member of the Open Door House of Prayer Church, Annapolis, Missouri.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, July 16th, at 12 Noon at the Open Door House of Prayer Church
with Bro. Michael Grady o ciating. Interment wil be in the Open Door House of Prayer Cemetery. Visita-
tion will begin Monday morning at 11:00 AM at the church.

MARGARET O. McKINNEY, formerly of Middlebrook, Missouri, passed away July 24, 2007 at the St.
Joe Manor in Bonne Terre at the age of 71 years.
She was born March 11, 1936 in Ste. Genevieve, Missouri to Ernest Jewel and Ruth (Lewis) Bennett.
She was married to George McKinney, who preceded her in death June 14, 2005. In addition to her husband,
she was preceded in death by one sister, Essie Kiefer, and two brothers, Buddy and Gale Bennett.
Surviving are: one son, William E. McKinney of Park Hills; one step-daughter, Georgian Billings; 3 grand-
children, Megan, Josh, and Dakota; one sister, Reba Stevens of St. James; two brothers, Bob Bennett
and wife, Linda of Belton, Missouri and Stormy Bennett and wife, Cheryl of Desloge; a host of nieces and
nephews, other family members, and friends.
She was a member of the Bismarck Chapter O.E.S..

DELORIS MAYBERRY passed away August 3, 2007 at her residence in Bismarck at the age of 75 years.

She was born March 29, 1932 in Centerville, Missouri to Walter Acey and Iva Myrtle (Dalton) Tripp.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Goldie Irene Tripp; six brothers, Charles, Lidle,
Bill, Jim, Harvey, and Clarence Tripp.

Surviving are: two sisters, Leona Rothlisberger of Leadington and Pauline Lucas of Bismarck; a host of
nieces and nephews, including two special nephews, Larry Lucas and Jason Rothlisberger; other relatives
and a host of friends.

She was a member of the Faith Baptist Church of Leadington at the time of her death.

JANE P. BREWER, age 37, passed away at her residence in St. Louis, Missouri on September 15, 2007.
She was born June 7, 1970 in St. Louis to Doyle L. and Pauline E. (Johnson) Brewer.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Pauline Brewer, one brother, Mark Brewer, and one sister,
Linda Cassaday.

Surviving are: her father, Doyle Brewer of St. Louis, MO; one brother, Rodney Brewer of Athens, GA;
a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

SIDNEY ROBERT PRIBBLE, a resident of Arcadia, passed away November 2, 2007 at Barnes-Jewish
Hospital in St. Louis, at the age of 55 years.

He was born July 12, 1952 in St. Louis, Missouri to Robert and Lillian (Greason) Pribble.

His parents and one brother, Jim Pribble, preceded him in death.

He was married to Lois M. (Burcham) Pribble, who survives. Also surviving are: two daughters, Joy
Lynn and Amy Pribble, both of Elkville, Illinois; two sisters, Delores Nelson and Elizabeth Smith, both of
the state of California; 3 grandchildren, Isaiah, Dakota, and Alishia; other family members and a host of
friends.

He was a member of Stouts Creek Baptist Church in Ironton, where he served as a Deacon.
A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, November 11th, at 6:00 PM at Stouts Creek Baptist Church with

RUTH PRESTON, formerly of Pilot Knob, passed away November 29, 2007 at Community Manor in Farmington at the age of 86 years.

She was born August 26, 1921 in St. Louis, Missouri to Harry and Cecelia (Schnider) Lackamp.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles and Harry Lackamp; two sisters, Lucille Lemons and
Julia Fischer.

Surviving are: one son, Jon V. Blanco of the state of Texas; one brother, Herbert Lackamp of Farming-
ton; a host of nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.
She worked many years as a Nurse Anesthesiologist for Arcadia Valley Hospital and was a member of
Ste. Marie du Lac Catholic Church in Ironton.

Mass of Christian Burial was held Saturday, December 1st, at 10:00 AM at the Ste. Marie du Lac Catholic
Church with Celebrant, Rev. James Unterreiner o ciating. Interment was in Arcadia Valley Memorial Park

She was born January 14, 1906 in Silver Springs, Missouri to Henry and Emma Thurman.

She was married to Rev. Ray Arenz, who preceded her in death.

Surviving are: one son, Robert Ray Arenz of Ellisville, MO; grandchildren, Wayne Arenz of Powell, OH,
Sharon Northcutt and Nancy Mars, M.D. of Hattiesburg, MS, Lisa Grider of Bismarck, MO, Douglas Arenz of Fort Collins, CO; and ve great grandchildren.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bonne Terre.

Toni Hagerty
Toni Hagerty, 53, of Bismarck, went to be with the Lord after succumbing to breast cancer following a
lengthily and courageous battle on Wednesday, January 2, 2008 at Parkland Health Center in Farmington,
Missouri. Toni was born July 23, 1954, in St. Louis, Missouri to Robert and Myrtle Sullivan, presently of
Bismarck.

In addition to being the precious daughter of her surviving parents, Toni was the devoted wife of Rev.
Michael Hagerty, the loving mother of Joshua (Janna) Hagerty of Farmington, Carrie (Matt) Merrill of Bis-
marck, and Caleb Hagerty of the home, and the adored grandmother of Jonah Hagerty and Caden Merrill,
who also survive.

Toni is also survived by ve sisters and one brother: Connie (Faron) Henson of Bismarck, Cindy (Brett)
Collier of Farmington, Debbie (Tim) Politte of Bismarck, Becky (Scott) Sikes of Fredericktown, Bobby (Lisa) Sullivan of Bismarck, and Mindy (Mark) Daus of St. Louis. She is also survived by numerous special nieces and nephews, other family members, and many loyal and caring friends.

In addition to being a dedicated pastor s wife, Toni was a faithful member and Sunday School teacher
at Stouts Creek Baptist Church in Ironton.

Visitation will be held at Stouts Creek Baptist Church on Friday, January 4, 2008 from 5-8 PM. Services
will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2008 at 11:00 AM at Stouts Creek Baptist Church under the direction

Anne McEntire, age 82 years, passed away Friday, January 11, 2008, at the Iron County Hospital in Pi-
lot Knob, Missouri.

She was born January 23, 1925 in Iron Mountain, Missouri, the daughter of Charles and Lena (Boatwright)
Powell, who preceded her in death. Her mother died when she was four and she was raised by her step-
mother, Bessie Scaggs Power.

She was united in marriage to Amuel F. McEntire, February 14, 1943, who preceded her in death.

She is survived by: four sons, Gary (Mary) McEntire of Farmington, Gordon (Karen) McEntire of Iron-
ton, Donald McEntire of Je erson City, and Harry (Linda) McEntire of Je erson City; one daughter, Karen
Thomlison of Hannibal; two brother, Guy and Edward Powell; one sister, E e Jones; 15 grandchildren and
25 great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by one brother, William Powell and two sisters, Cindy and Marie Powell.

Anne worked at The Baptist Home as a CMT for a number of years. She was a wonderful pastor s wife,
loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ironton at the time of her death.

Virgie Elnora (McCarty) Warren passed away January 15, 2008 at her home in Ironton, Missouri at the
age of 89 years and 9 months. She was born April 9, 1918 to Warren Ernest McCarty and Pearl Hannah
(Benscotter) McCarty.

She was united in marriage to John Thomas Warren on November 14, 1931. To this union, eleven chil-
dren were born.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her step-father, Emmett Fitts, her husband; three brothers,
Warren McCarty, Alfred McCarty, and Marion Fitts; two sisters, Gertrude (McCarty) Baker, and Margie
(Fitts) Schrum; one daughter, Peggy Ann (Warren) Poorbough; one infant son, Loyd Warren, and one granddaughter, Erin Warren.

She is survived by one brother, George (Norma) Fitts; three sons, Lawrence (Alice) Warren of Ironton,
Tom (Judy) Warren of Ironton, and Charles (Vivian) Warren of Parkhills; six daughters, Betty Jones of
Ironton, Eileen (Ray) Helt of Carson, Washington, Carolyn (Ray) Schwach of Ironton, Barbara (Gary)
Parsons of Havana, Illinois, Jennie Hamilton of San Jose, Illinois, and Kim (Winston) Rall of Stevenson,
Washington; 38 grandchildren, 76 great grandchildren, and 44 great-great grandchildren; a host of nieces,
nephews, and friends.

She was a member of Stouts Creek Baptist Church in Ironton at the time of her death.

Ervin W. Nash, Sr. passed away January 16, 2008 at his residence in Arcadia, Missouri at the age of

He was born October 23, 1934 at Imboden, Missouri to James Henry and Gladys E. (Lambert) Nash.

His parents, one son, Steven, and one brother, Daniel Nash, preceded him in death.

Surviving are: six daughters, Margaret Dove of St. Charles, Dianne Hay of Lexington, OH, Karen Smith of

He was a United States Army veteran and was a retired maintenance employee of the St. Charles city

John Albert Allen, age 84, passed away January 27, 2008 at his residence in Arcadia, Missouri.

He was born January 26, 1924 in Arcadia to Jesse Franklin Allen and Trannie (Jones) Allen.
On November 13, 1942 he was united in marriage to Glenda (Brawley) Allen, who preceded him in death
on July 3, 2004. He was also preceded in death by an infant daughter, Doris Elaine, and one brother, Jesse
Allen, Jr..

Surviving are: one brother, Lyle Allen and wife, Sonja of St. Peters, Missouri; 4 nieces and 7 nephews;

He was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII.

Mildred Bernice Carty, a former resident of Ironton, passed away February 9, 2008 at the Parkland Health
Center in Farmington at the age of 99 years.

She was born January 17, 1909 at Edge Hill, Missouri to George W. and Anna May (Gallaher) Cauley.
On May 15, 1926 she was united in marriage to Mont K. Carty, who preceded her in death on March
21, 1989. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two children, Robert and Karen, and
two brothers, Roy and Otto Cauley.

Surviving are: two sons, Donald (Louise) Carty of St. Louis and Kenneth (Linda Faye) Carty of Bridgeton;
three daughters, Virginia (Richard) Berliner of Sacramento, CA, Rose Ann Henson of Humansville, MO and
Linda Marie (John) Kozlowski of St. Charles; 11 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great
grandchildren; other relatives and a host of friends.

She worked many years as a cook for the Black River Lodge in Lesterville, and was a member of the
First Baptist Church of Pilot Knob at the time of her death.

She was married to Lloyd Graves, who preceded her in death. In addition to her parents and her hus-
band, she was preceded in death by three brothers, John L., Albert J., and George L. Daniels; four sisters,
Velma N. Crocker, Marie Daniels, Reba P. Stowers, and Ruby J. Daniels.

Betty Jo McMillian, age 84 years, passed away February 24, 2008 at her residence in Farmington.
She was born March 2, 1923 in Brandsville, Missouri to Charles Perry and Florence M. (Capshaw) Cresap.

On May 21, 1946 she was united in marriage to John McMillian, who preceded her in death in 2000.
She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Charles Robert, Willis Perry, and Harold Richard Cresap; fi ve sisters, Grace Fuller, Clarice Cresap, Myrtle Files, Lola Tribble, and Mary Smalley.
Surviving are: one daughter, Patricia McMillian of Farmington; one son, Mike McMillian of Doe Run; 2
grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; other family members, and a host of friends.

She was a member of the Farmington Freewill Baptist Church at the time of her death.

Willa Strubinger
Willa Frances Strubinger of Ironton passed away on Wednesday, March 26, 2008 at the age of 92. She
was born July 22, 1915 in East St. Louis, Illinois to John and Dora (Phelps) Red eld.

On September 8, 1934 she was united in marriage to Thomas J. Strubinger, Jr. who preceded her in
death on May 31, 2001. To this union one son was born, Thomas J. Strubinger III who preceded her in
death on August 6, 1997 at the age of 61. Willa was also preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters.

Willa is survived by one sister, Grace Williams of O Fallon, Illinois; two grandchildren, Thomas J. IV
(Deborah) Strubinger of Auburn, Illinois and Laura (Tim) Cox of Ironton; six great-grandchildren, Julie,
Tom V, Matthew, and Nicole Strubinger and Kelsey & Kaitlin Cox.

Willa was converted to faith in Jesus Christ in 1972. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Iron-
ton, Missouri. She lived at The Baptist Home, Ironton since February 11, 1999.

She enjoyed drawing, quilting, crocheting, knitting, reading and she was a St. Louis Cardinals fan.

Funeral Services will be held at The Baptist Home Chapel, Friday, March 28, at 10:00 AM with Rev.
Gerald Collier o ciating. Visitation will be at 9:00 AM until time of service in the Chapel. Graveside

Delmer F. Buck Goggin, a resident of Belleview, passed away April 10, 2008 at the Iron County Hos-

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one nephew, Charles Lucky Hibdon.

and Bessie Jane (Hayes) Hilterbrand.
On December 19, 1939 she was married to Clifton Longbottom, who preceded her in death on Novem-
ber 20, 2004. Also, preceding her in death were two brothers; Arvil and Kenneth Hilterbrand; and one sister, Leona Moore.

Surviving are: one brother, Clarence Hilterbrand of Sikeston, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; other
family members, and a host of friends.

She was a member of the Third Baptist Church, St. Louis, Missouri.

On July 7, 1958 she married Billy Richard Strange, who survives.

Sharon Sue Yates, a resident of Ironton, passed away July 1, 2008 at Des Peres Hospital in St. Louis,
Missouri at the age of 62 years.

She was born September 20, 1945, the daughter of Melvin and Alberta (Wise) Bazzell.
On November 11, 1963 she married Charles L. Tiny Yates, who survives.
Other surviving family include: three daughters, Charlcie, Je e, and Daniella Yates, all of Ironton; two

William J. Reed
William J. Reed, a former resident of Pilot Knob, passed away July 7, 2008 at the Camelot Nursing Center
in Farmington, at the age of 92 years.

He was born July 23, 1915 in Wayne county, Missouri to Samuel Brown Reed and Pearl (Williams) Reed.
On July 22, 1933 he married Lillian (Winters) Reed, who preceded him in death February 26, 1999. He
was also preceded in death by three brothers, Luther, Everette, and Lon Reed; four sisters, Gladys Ander-
son, Mollie Boring, Donnie Reed, and Etta Reed.

Surviving are: three daughters, Betty Ford of Celina, OH, Frances, Mrs. Harold Leydens of Je erson City,
MO, and Sharon, Mrs. Sonny Barton of Farmington, MO; two sons, Bill Reed, and wife, Roberta of Citrus
Heights, CA, and Donald Reed, and wife, Martha of Ironton, MO; 15 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and a host of great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Georgia Ahrens of Pilot Knob, MO and Helen Russell of Clark, MO; other family members and a host of friends.

Mr. Reed worked many years as a sawmill owner/operator and in later years he owned and operated
Reed & Reed Lumber Yard in Pilot Knob. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Belleview at the
time of his death.

Jesse Lee Kloke
Jesse Lee Kloke, age 82 years, and 1 Month, passed away Monday, July 21, 2008 at Crystal City Mis-
souri. He was born June 21, 1926, in Geneva, Kentucky, the son of the late George W. Kloke and Margaret (Holy eld) Kloke.

He was married to Rosa Lee Hayes in 1950, who passed away in July of 1972. They had one daughter
Patricia Lee Kloke, and one granddaughter Sabrina Bernsen, both preceded him in death. One step grand-
son, David Bradley Hight also preceded him in death.

On January 6, 1973 he was married to Myrtle Lee Mart, who survives, and lives at The Baptist Home.
He is survived by his wife, Myrtle: one granddaughter: Samantha Croy: three great grandsons: Ryan
Goebel, Chris Croy, and Robby Croy: one brother, Oscar Kloke of Henderson, Kentucky: many nieces and nephews. Also surviving is a step son: Paul and Betty Hight, Robertsville, Missouri: one step daughter
Kathy and Mark Shaw, Paci c, Missouri: step grandson, Mark Allen and Cathy Hight, and their twin boys
Sean and Shane of Union, Missouri: step grandson, Matthew and Ami Nicol of Cedar Hill, Missouri: step
granddaughter, April and Rick Vandiver and their children, Emily, Lucy, and Hailay of O Fallon, Missouri:
step granddaughter, Amanda Pellizzari: step grandchildren, Angie, Harry, and Mark Shaw. He is also sur-
vived by sisters-in-law: Martha Wade, and Lorene Bagwell of Hopkinsville, Kentucky. Step grandson, Harry Shaw is in the army at Fort Benning, Georgia.

He was a member of First Baptist Church, Gray Summit, Missouri; where he served as a deacon. He
and Myrtle moved to The Baptist Home, Ironton, on January 13, 2004.

Mary Ellen Cobb, age 84 years, passed away July 30, 2008 at The Baptist Home in Ironton.

She was born November 13, 1923 in St. Louis, Missouri, the daughter of Claude Levi Randall and Ly-
dia (Everett) Randall.

She married Claude Cobb on February 3, 1951, who survives. Also surviving are three daughters; Ruth
(Joe) Dunnaway of Great Bend, Kansas, Cathi (James) Millfelt of Camdenton, Missouri, and Susan (Eugene) Whitlock of Catawissa, Missouri; one brother, Loren Randall; one sister, Thelma Bates; 11 grandchildren, Jimmy, Michele, Erin, Alena, Eric, Evan, Terrie, James, Patrick, Robin, and Christopher, a large number of great-grandchildren, and a host of great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four brothers.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Gray Summit, Missouri until she moved to The Baptist
Home, where she joined First Baptist Church in Ironton.

She was born September 22, 1926 in Sabula, Missouri to Luther F. Howard and Mary (Reed) Howard.

Surviving are: two sons, Stephen Warren, and wife, Brenda of Murphysboro, IL, and Elmer, and wife
Debbie of Warrensburg, MO., 4 grandchildren, Cynthia, Jenny, Daniel, and Scott; 2 great-grandchildren,
Breanna and Cameron; other family members and a host of friends.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Judy Booth; four brothers, Ralph, Walter, George, and Thomas Howard; one sister, Olive Howard.

She worked many years as a seamstress, was a past president of V.F.W. Post 7190 Ladies Auxiliary, was a member of the O.E.S., and was a member of Big Creek Baptist Church, Hogan, Missouri at the time of her death.

On January 14, 1942 she married Carl Frank Laird, who preceded her in death on July 11, 1983. Also,

Patricia Gail Parsons, age 64 years, passed away at her residence near Annapolis, Missouri on October
18, 2008.

She was born April 8, 1944 in Trumann, Arkansas to Clarence Gibson and Wanda (Huston) Gibson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and one grandson, Joshua.

On August 26, 1960 she married Larry Morris Parsons, who survives.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by: six children, Carrie, Larry, Jr., Sherry, Jerry, Dawn, and

Leon S. Bredemeyer
Leon Bredemeyer passed away Friday, November 14, 2008 at The Baptist Home, Ironton, Missouri at the age of 89 years, 4 months, and 8 days.

He was born July 6, 1919 in St. Louis, Missouri, to Harry Bredemeyer and Letitia Letty (Chasteen) Bredemeyer, who preceded him in death.

On December 6, 1943, he was united in marriage to Geraldine Henderson. She preceded him in death
in 1982. Then on August 3, 2002, he was united in marriage to Mary Milvon, who survives and lives at The
Baptist Home. He is also survived by a niece and three stepsons. He was preceded in death by a sister.

He worked over 30 years as a Freight Handler, and was a member of First Baptist Church Lemay, St.
Louis, Missouri, when he entered the Home but had moved his membership to First Baptist Church, Ironton
at the time of his death.

Sara E. Fitzgerald passed away November 27, 2008 at her home in rural Middlebrook, Missouri at the
age of 53 years.

She was born July 14, 1955 in Van Buren, Missouri to Robert and Alice (Jones) Lotz. Her father pre-
ceded her in death.

On June 29, 1973, she was united in marriage to Michael W. Fitzgerald, who survives.

She is also survived by: two children, James Fitzgerald and wife, Amy of Middlebrook, and Tracey, Mrs.
Bryan Boesing of Middlebrook; 6 grandchildren, Devin, Jadyn, Piper, Adrick, Kolton, and Dawson; four

Emma May Eberhardt, age 85 years, 5 months and 6 days, passed away Sunday, December 7, 2008, at
The Baptist Home, Ironton, Missouri. She was born July 1, 1923 in St. Louis, Missouri, the daughter of the
late Joseph Radosh and E e (Hutson) Radosh.

On September 19, 1942, she was married to Oliver Eberhardt, who preceded her in death on February
17, 1981.

To this union three children were born: Roger Eberhardt and wife Sandra of Arnold, Missouri;
Oliver Eberhardt and wife Jan of Arnold, Missouri, and Sandra Randol of The Baptist Home, Ironton,
Missouri. She is also, survived by one brother: Art Radosh of Williamsville, Missouri; two sisters: Flora
Port of Barnhart, Missouri, and Vivian Owens of Arcadia, Florida; three grandchildren; and four great-
grandchildren. Beside her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers: Floyd, and Joseph Radosh;
two sisters: Wilma Boca and Kitty Austin; and one grandson: Jerry Randol.

She was a member of Carondelet Baptist Church, St. Louis, Missouri.

On October 16, 1941 she married Robert Lee Lotz, who preceded her in death February 11, 1989. She
was also preceded in death by a daughter, Sara Fitzgerald, two sisters, and two brothers.

Surviving are: four daughters, Sue Suchman of Dallas, TX, Margaret Dorris of Sikeston, MO, Roberta

Helen Marie Boatner, age 89 years, passed away Friday, January 02, 2009 at The Baptist Home in Iron-

She was born November 19, 1919 in Boulder, Colorado, the daughter of the late John Ashlock and Edith

She was married to Edward Dettmer, who preceded her in death in 1971. She later married William P.
Boatner, who preceded her in death in 1995.

Billy Richard Strange, a resident of Eureka, Missouri, passed away January 21, 2009 at Marymount Manor

On July 7, 1958 he married Virgie (Copeland) Strange, who preceded him in death on June 25, 2008.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by three sons; James, Garry, and Jerry Carty.

and Emma (Radish) Eberhardt.
She is survived by a two brothers: Roger and Sandra Eberhardt of Arnold, Missouri and Oliver Sonny and
Jan Eberhardt, also of Arnold, Missouri.
She is also, survived by several nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.
Sandra was preceded in death by her son Jerry Randol.
She completed one year of college.
She was a member of the Reedville Baptist Church, Sullivan, Missouri at the time of her death.

Margaret L. Pillow
Margaret Pillow, age 93 years, passed away Monday, February 2, 2009, at The Baptist Home, Ironton,
Missouri. She was born, July 29, 1915 in Barlow, Kentucky; the daughter of the late Charles Frey and Jessie
(Nugent) Frey.
She was married to William Jolly on December 23, 1933 and he preceded her in death February 9, 1945; he
was killed in German in World War II under General Patton. She then married Floyd Pillow in 1949.
She is survived by four children: Shirley (Bill) Watkins of St. Louis, Missouri, Bill Jolly of Cedar Hill,
Missouri, Patricia (Duane) Siegmann of Oceanside, California, and Richard David King of Vista, California.
She is also, survived by 10 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren.
Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by three brothers.
Mrs. Pillow received a Licensed Practical Nursing Degree and worked at the Lutheran Hospital for more
than twenty years.
She was a member of the Kingshighway Baptist Church, St. Louis, Missouri.

Anna Marie Robertson, age 84 years, a resident at The Baptist Home in Ironton, passed away Friday,
March 20, 2009, at Je erson Memorial Hospital, Festus, Missouri. She was born April 22, 1924 in Adkins,
Arkansas; the daughter of the late William Bryant Caudle and Elizabeth Jane (Baker) Caudle.
Anna is survived by four daughters: Sharon Tuck of Republic, Missouri, Shelly Gilliam, Susan Martin,
and Sandy Robertson all of Houston, Texas; by seven Grandchildren: David Tuck, Kelly Tuck, Elizabeth
Ann Robertson, Levi Parks, Shauna Sutton, Jenny Clark, and Kyle Clark; and by seven Great Grandchil-
dren: Matthew Robertson, Katlyn Sutton, Logan Parks, Emma Clark, Traven Clark, Dillon Clark, and
Austin Chilton.
Anna is also survived by two brothers: Charles Caudle of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Jimmie Vandle
of Blytheville, Arkansas; three sisters: Nina Hensley of Roach, Missouri, Lola Watson of Fulton, Missouri,
and Billie Harrison of Benton, Kentucky.
She was preceded in death by one sister and three brothers.
Anna owned and operated a restaurant in Van Buren, Missouri for 12 years.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Poplar Blu , Missouri.

Thomas Gerald McGraw
Thomas Gerald McGraw, age 68, passed away at his residence in Ironton on March 31, 2009.
He was born April 6, 1940 in Old Mines, Missouri to Lawrence Everett McGraw and Blanche C. (Ruby)
McGraw. His parents preceded him in death.
On February 19, 1966 he married Kathryn R. (Lambert) McGraw, who survives. In addition to wife, he is
survived by one daughter, Lynette R. Martin of Ironton; two grandsons, J.T. Martin and Daniel Martin; one
brother, Robert Lee McGraw of Imperial, MO; a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and many
friends.
He spent most of his life employed in law enforcement. He worked many years for the Missouri State
Highway Patrol as a Driver Examiner. He was a former Ironton Police Chief, was the Director of Safety and
Security for Arcadia Valley Hospital, and in later years, he was a School Bus Driver for the Arcadia Valley
Schools. He was a member of Arcadia Valley United Methodist Church at the time of his death.

of Des Arc and Eric Paisley of Perryville; 17 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Leola

Lucille (Albert) Mann, a former resident of Ironton, Missouri, was born on August 12, 1923 at Esther,
Missouri. She passed away May 18, 2009 at the Marsh eld Care Center in Marsh eld, Missouri at the age of
85 years. Lucille was one of ten children born to Bunyard Glenwood Albert and Ommalee Lula (Santhu )
Albert. Lucille married Luther Edward (Mike) Mann on July 20, 1940, who preceded her in death on October
13, 2000. To this union two children were born; a son Edward Darrel Mann, and a daughter, Darla Jean
Mann (Kurz).Lucille has six Grandchildren; Deron Mann, Danielle Mann, Melissa Nash, Frank Kurz Jr.,
David Kurz, and Daniel Kurz.
Lucille has ten Great Grandchildren; Chandler Mann, Mattilyn Mann, Preston Mann, Gaton Askey, Hunter
Nash, Casey Nash, Isaac Kurz, Katie Kurz, Kevin Kurz, and Madison Kurz; one sister, Barbara McDermott;

Francis M. Frank Wheeler, a former resident of Ironton, passed away June 5, 2009 at the Meadowbrook
Residential Care in Pilot Knob at the age of 84 years.
He was born November 12, 1924 in Portageville, Missouri to Foster Wheeler and Ruth (Sutton) Wheeler.
On November 12, 1960 he married Clara (Wallen) Wheeler, who preceded him in death on July 31, 2005.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Earnest Wilkins, Everett
Wilkins, and Jack Darnell; three sisters, Minnie Mitchell, Myrtle Pitts, and Lorine Wheeler.
Surviving are: three brothers, Levi Wheeler, Earnest Wheeler, and Charles Wheeler; one sister, Betty
Hu man; a special niece, Sheila, Mrs. Don Eckrich; other family members and a host of friends.
He was a retired employee from McDonnell Aircraft Corp., and was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII, and
was a recipient of the Purple Heart.

Leda Belle Weister, age 84 years, 4 months, and 5 days, passed away Friday, June 19, 2009, at The Baptist
Home, Ironton, Missouri. She was born, February 14, 1925 in St. Louis, Missouri; the daughter of the late
Herbert Bennett and Mary (Castles) Bennett.
She was married to Royden Claire Weister on October 10, 1942 and he preceded her in death on Febru-
ary 26, 1994.
She is survived by three children: Carol Lee Hammonds, of O Fallon, Missouri; James Clark Weister and his
wife Margaret Ann, of Paci c Junction, Iowa; and Leda Ann Edgar and her husband Arnold, of Je erson
City, Missouri: she is also survived by seven grandchildren, and eleven great grandchildren.
Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by two brothers; Norman, and Malcolm Bennett;
two sisters, Daisy Cornet, and Norma Jean Ross; one son-in-law, Jack Hammonds.
Mrs. Weister worked for the Missouri Department of Revenue as an Audit Clerk until she retired. She
was a member of the First Baptist Church, Je erson City, Missouri.

Dorothy Ellen Carty
Dorothy Ellen Calvert Carty of Ironton passed away July 15th, 2009 at Mineral Area Hospital in Farm-
ington.
She was born in Terre Haute, Indiana August 21, 1923 to Marshall and Lena Selinger Calvert, the fourth of
seven children. She grew up in Arcadia and graduated from Ironton High School in 1941.
She married Bud Carty from Graniteville, a career o cer in the United States Air Force. Dorothy was
well traveled having the opportunity to live in Kansas, Puerto Rico, Louisiana, Colorado, Virginia, Texas,
Florida, Nevada and nally retiring in the Arcadia Valley.
She enjoyed her friends and family, was a wonderful cook and homemaker. In Ironton she was a mem-
ber of the Ironton Baptist Church, the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW and Iron County Historical Society.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her father, Marshall Calvert; mother, Lena Calvert; sister Barbara Emery,
brothers Gene and Russell Calvert, husband Bud Carty and son Kevin Carty.
She is survived by daughter Karen Carty of St Louis, son Mike Carty of Carson City, Nevada and grandchil-
dren Jennifer Ray and Bob Ray, both of St. Louis. Also surviving are three sisters, Helen Davis of Paducah,
Edna Eo of Ironton and Ruth Brooks of Ironton, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
A short service will be held graveside at Arcadia Valley Memorial Park. Friends and family are welcome at
11:00 on Wednesday July 22. Lunch will be served after the service at the Fort Davidson Restaurant.

Claude Cobb, age 87 years, 9 months and 17 days, passed away Friday, September 4, 2009 at The Bap-
tist Home, Ironton, Missouri. He was born November 18, 1921 in Lawndale, Missouri, the son of the late
Daniel Cobb and Myrtle (North) Cobb.
He married Mary Randall on February 3, 1951, who preceded him in death on July 30, 2008. He is survived
by three daughters: Ruth (Joe) Dunnaway of Great Bend, Kansas, Cathi (James) Millfelt of Camdenton,
Missouri, and Susan (Eugene) Whitlock, of Catawissa, Missouri. He is also survived by his grandchildren:
Michele, Jimmy, Erin, Elana, Eric, Evan, Terrie, James, Patrick, Robin, and Christopher; and also, by 21
great-grandchildren, and by 9 great-great-grandchildren. And he is survived by his sister Mabel Donner and
brother Clyde Cobb.
Claude was a veteran of World War II, having served proudly in the Army Air-Corp.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Gray Summit, Missouri until he moved to The Baptist
Home, where he joined First Baptist Church, Ironton.

He was born February 16, 1959 in Arcadia, Missouri; the son of Noah Burns Reed and Virgie Caroline
(West) Reed.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Vernon Reed, and one sister, Lucille Graham.

Joe Milo Haynes
Joe Milo Haynes, was born September 28, 1918, and stepped into eternity Sunday, January 17, 2010
at the age 91 years. He was born in Aspen, Colorado; the son of the late Joe Haynes and Iva (McCullough)
Haynes.
He is survived by his wife Edna. They recently celebrated 70 years of marriage. They were married
on November 29, 1939.
After attending Kansas State University, Milo taught school in Kansas for two years before sensing
God s call to Christian service. He then studied Bible at Northwestern Bible School in Minneapolis,
Minnesota and later received a BD degree from Northern Seminary in Chicago.
During his ministry Milo served as pastor of three churches. His rst pastorate was Montevalto
Baptist Church in Southwest Missouri. He served First Baptist Church, Newberg, Missouri for 19 years and
then First Baptist Church, Gray Summit, Missouri for 9 years. During his retirement years he served on
Sta at First Baptist Church, St. Clair, Missouri as well as interim pastor of other churches.
Milo enjoyed shing and Cardinal baseball.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church, in St. Clair, Missouri.
He and Edna have lived at The Baptist Home, Ironton, since November 30, 2007.

Mary Furgerson (2010-01-21 20:49)
Mary Furgerson, was born May 24, 1916, and stepped into eternity Thursday, January 21, 2010 at the age
of 93 years, 7 months and 28 days.
She was born in Maries County, Missouri; the daughter of the late Asa Edward Ballance and Minnie Malvina
(Love) Ballance. She had one sister, Mildred, and three brothers: Floyd, Cecil and Homer, all who preceded
her in death.
On September 14, 1941 she married Gilbert Thompson. And to this union her only child was born, Judy
(Thompson) Kirsch of Florissant, Missouri. Gilbert died of heart problems on February 6, 1943, two days
before Judy was born. Five years later she was married to Pat Woerther, and he preceded her in death in
1967. Then on February 8, 1980, she married Leroy Furgerson, and they were married for 26 years. He
preceded her in death on June 5, 2006.
She is survived by her daughter, Judy (Kenneth) Kirsch, and two grandchildren; Kimberly (Kevin) Koon of
St. Charles, Missouri, and John Kirsch, of Florissant, Missouri. Five great-grandchildren: Patrick (Jennifer)
Mahoney of O Fallon, Missouri, Meaghan Mahoney of Ballwin, Missouri, and Lauren Mahoney of Columbia,
Missouri, Jordan Kirsch, and Dylan Kirsch of Florissant. Also surviving are two great-great-grandchildren:
Declan and Alaina Koon.
Mary worked at Carter Carburetor Corporation for 33 years.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Ferguson, Missouri. But she had a long history with
Tower Grove Baptist Church.
She and Leroy moved to The Baptist Home, Ironton, Independent Living Apartments, in April 2003 and
moved into the main facility March 17, 2004.

Born Sunday, September 28, 1930 in St. Louis, Missouri, she was the daughter of the late Lamoine Bachstein
and the late Olive (Cranford) Bachstein.
On September 4, 1948 she was united in marriage to George Warren Memhardt, who survives.
In addition to her husband, surviving are sons, Randy Memhardt and wife, Mary of High Ridge, MO,
Rusty Memhardt and wife, Patricia of St. Louis, MO, Paul Memhardt and wife, Ree of Ironton, MO and
Mark Memhardt of Park Hills, MO, daughters, Linda, Mrs. Philip Williams of Cedar Hill, MO and Mary,
Mrs. Jack Guertin of Ferrum, VA, brother, Richard Bachstein of Massachusetts, 15 grandchildren and 9
great-grandchildren, other relatives and a host of friends.
She was predeceased by infant brother, Robert Bachstein.
She, along with her husband, George, owned and operated Killarney Propane Gas Company, and was a
member of Stouts Creek Baptist Church in Ironton.

Born Tuesday, December 5, 1939 in Middlebrook, Missouri, he was the son of the late Hugh Bone and
Della (Stricklin) Bone. He was the husband of Patricia (Robison) Bone.
He was preceded in death by one son Raymond and one brother, Edward.
Surviving are his wife Patricia Bone of Fredericktown, sons; Howard and wife, Veronica of Boss, Je ery
of St. Charles, Darren and wife, Carla of Union, Nathan and wife, Paula of Villa Ridge, and Daniel of St.
Charles, daughter; Vicky, Mrs. Gary Owen of Wentzville. Les also had two step-children; Joshua and wife,

Born Sunday, August 31, 1930 in Kennett, Missouri, he was the son of the late James A. Williams and
the late Cleo (Green) Williams.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Pilot Knob.
Surviving are three brothers, Jack Williams of Ironton, MO, Donald Williams of Pilot Knob, MO and
Larry Williams of Pilot Knob, MO; one sister, Shirley Feltz of Keller, TX; a host of nieces, nephews, other

Rev. Charles Dunning (2010-09-07 14:44)
Rev. Charles Dunning was born in Cape Girardeau County, Missouri, October 15, 1925, and grew up in St.
Louis, attending Walbridge elementary school in Walnut Park and Beaumont High School. World War II
interrupted Charles school years, and he left high school to serve in the United States Marine Corps. Upon
his discharge in 1945 Charles entered the Sanford-Brown tutoring school in St. Louis to complete his high
school education. He also began courting Gloria Gannon in earnest, and in October, 1946 the couple was
married. Charles attended Washington University in St. Louis, majoring in political science. By the early
1950 s Charles had become a sales representative for a printing company, and was on a track to becoming
a sales executive with a lucrative career ahead of him. However, God had other ideas, and in 1954 Charles
answered God s call and dedicated his life to serving the Lord. He was ordained at Calvary Baptist Church
in St. Louis by Pastor Nelson Reagan, and soon after moved his family to Louisville, Kentucky, to attend the
Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. In the spring of 1956 Charles was called to be the Assistant Pastor
of the Overland Baptist Church, in Overland, Missouri. In 1958 Charles became pastor of the Immanuel
Baptist Church in the West End of St. Louis. Charles remained at Immanuel until the early 1970 s, when he
accepted the call to the New Melle Baptist Church in rural St. Charles County. Charles and Gloria remained
at New Melle until his retirement from the ministry in 1990.
Charles and Gloria moved to Je erson City, MO for his retirement. There they lived quietly for 17 years
until 2007, when they moved to The Baptist Home, where they have lived for the past three and a half years.
Charles is preceded in death by his parents, Clyde Ray and Ada Minta Dunning, and by his older brother,
Arthur Max Dunning. He is survived by his wife, Gloria, his children and their spouses: Mark Dunning
and wife Sally of Palmyra, VA; Terry Dunning of Paci c Palisades, CA; and Melissa (Dunning) Brown and
husband Randy of Coral Springs, FL. By his grandchildren: John Dunning and wife Kelly of Leesburg, VA;
Msgt. Aimee (Dunning) Hernandez and husband Gaebriel of San Antonio, TX; Jeanne (Dunning) Sam and
husband Bin of Palmyra, VA; Tabitha (Brown) Gilroy of Ft. Leonard Wood, MO; Anthony Brown III of
Coral Springs, FL; and Lauren Dunning and Genevieve Dunning of Paci c Palisades, CA. And by his great-
grandchildren: Asia Hagans, Kiara Hagans, Thomas Sam, Joseph Sam, Eleanor Sam, and Dean Gilroy.

Ruby Lyvina Nina Carter, age 82 years, passed away Friday, September 10, 2010, at The Baptist Home,
Ironton, Missouri. She was born April 30, 1928 in Naylor, Missouri, the daughter of the late Charlie Harrison
Carter and Viola Etna (Raper) Carter.
She is survived by one niece: Rebekah Lucille (Atwell) Evans of Park Hills, Missouri; two nephews: Richard
Lee Carter and wife Sue of Del City, Oklahoma, Phillip Ray Carter and wife Gladys of Holts Summit, Mis-
souri. She is also survived by several great and great-great nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. To her
niece and to her great, and great-great nephews and nieces she was like a sister and grandmother to them.
Beside her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers: Baby Alonzo and Loyd Lee Carter; two
sisters: Grace Carter Atwell, and Jewell Arliva Carter.
Ruby worked many years as a Child Caretaker and later worked as an Elderly Person Caregiver.She was a
member of the First Baptist Church, Doniphan, Missouri at the time of her death.
Services were held Monday, September 13th, at 10:00 AM at The Baptist Home Chapel with Rev. Ger-

Nelson.
She married Herman E. Stricklin on November 14, 1931 who preceded her in death on July 26, 1964. Also
preceding her in death was one son, Jerry Stricklin, three sisters and ve brothers.
Surviving are three daughters, Joyce Estep of Ironton, Julie Tope of Spring eld, MO and Janice Ward
of Niagara Falls, NY; one son, James Stricklin, Sr. of Ironton; 5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren;

She worked many years at the Arcadia Valley Hospital in Ironton as a Nurse Aide.

Dalpha Jewell Stricklin, age 96, of Middlebrook, passed away on Sunday, November 14, 2010 at her home.
She was born Saturday, September 12, 1914 in Centerville, Missouri. She was the daughter of the late
Anley Tate and the late Gurdie Elmina (Buchanan) Tate.
On October 9, 1948 she married Lonnie Stricklin, who preceded her in death in 1991. Six brothers and
two sisters also preceded her in death.
She worked many years as a school teacher and was a member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church,
where she served in many capacities.
Surviving are: one son, Stephen M. Stricklin and wife, Janice of Middlebrook; one brother, Otto Tate
of Centerville; 2 grandchildren, Selena and Michael, 6 great-grandchildren, Kayla, Collin, Kaitlin, Natilie,
Matthew, and Cason; other family members and a host of friends.

Thelma Louise Powers Walker, passed away at her home in Arcadia, Missouri on Saturday, January 15, 2011
at the age of 80 years, and 14 days.
Thelma was born on January 1, 1931 in Black, Missouri to the late Homer Powers and the late Allie
(Robinett) Powers.
Left to mourn her passing are her devoted husband of 62 years, George E. Walker, Jr. of Arcadia; her
daughter, Sandy (Brad) Emerson of Kennett, MO, and son, David (Terri) Walker of Ironton, MO. Also
surviving are eight grandchildren: Jamie (Lori), Jody (Pam), and Chad (Laura) Laramore, Kerry and Brett
(Erica) Emerson, Kassie, Blake, and Brock Walker; ve great-grandchildren: Katie, Luke, Grace, Garrett,
and Lexie Laramore. Thelma leaves behind three brothers, Gene Powers of Farmington, Noel Powers of
Lesterville, and Donald Powers of St. Louis; four sisters, Lucille Meatheany of Lesterville, Helen Akins of
Harrisburg, Doris Martin of Wentzville, and Marty Penny of Moberly; and many nieces, nephews, and a host
of other relatives and friends.
Preceding Thelma in death were one son, Ronnie Edward Walker, one sister, Ruby Gregory, two broth-
ers, Leon and Ray Powers, and a son-in-law, Larry Laramore.
Thelma worked many years as a restaurant owner/operator and was a member of The First Baptist Church
of Ironton. She was an excellent mother and homemaker. She enjoyed visiting with friends, reading, studying
her Bible, and singing hymns.
Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, January 17 at the First Baptist Church in Iron-
ton, MO. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January, 18 also at the First Baptist Church of Ironton

He was born October 23, 1944 in Belleview, Missouri; the son of the late Elza Albert Orrick and the late

He was married to Retha E. (Sumpter) Orrick, who preceded him in death on November 29, 2010. He
was also preceded in death by two brothers, James and William Orrick, and one sister, Emma Cloin.
Surviving are: three sons, Daniel and Richard Keesee, both of Ironton, and Ricky Keesee of Belleview;
two daughters, Linda Bowling of Ironton and Nancy Sohn of Bonne Terre; 12 grandchildren and 18 great-

Ronald G. Thomas, age 75 years, 11 Months, and 5 days, passed away February 9, 2011 at The Baptist
Home, Ironton, Missouri. He was born March 4, 1935, in St. Louis, Missouri, the son of Leroy Larsh Thomas
and Mable (Hicks) Thomas.
On October 27, 1995 he was united in marriage to Peggy (Barksdale) Thomas, who survives at The Baptist
Home, Ironton.
Besides his wife, Ron is survived by a Daughter: Rhonda (Robert) Steelman of Bridgeton, Missouri, and
a Son: Kenny (Linda) Thomas of Salem, Missouri. One Step-Daughter: Suzanne (Chris) Boyle of Salam,
Missouri; a Brother: Victor Thomas of Florissant; a Sister: Judy Waldman of Manchester, Missouri.
He was preceded in death by his wife Joyce Thomas, who was the mother of his children.
Ron was ordained to the ministry by Broadway Baptist Church, St. James. He was a pastor and in-
terim pastor of several churches. He was a Barber in St. Louis for several years, and he worked for the St.
Joseph Mines as well.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church, St. James, Missouri. He and Peggy have lived at The
Baptist Home, Ironton, since January 21, 2010.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, February 11th at 10:00 AM at The Baptist Home Chapel with Rev.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenwood Tiefenauer. She later married John Baldwin, who

Lewis, and one brother, George Miller, Jr..

She was born October 10, 1921 in Madison County, Missouri; the daughter of the late Monroe Moses
Sebastain and the late Bertha Mae (Means) Sebastain.
On November 2, 1942 she was united in marriage to Delbert Gardner, who preceded her in death on August
30, 1988. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Harry and Charles Sebastain; two sisters, Alma
Arnold and Eileen Mickey.
Surviving are: one daughter, Debby (John) Marsanick of St. Louis; one grandson, Kyle (Tara) Marsan-
ick; one granddaughter, Kym (Tom) Galbraith; three great-grandchildren, Kylie, Libby, and Layne; three

Raymond Strantz, age 88 years, 6 Months, and 25 days, passed away May 8, 2011 at The Baptist Home,
Ironton, Missouri. He was born October 13, 1922, the son of the late George and Mary Strantz. Raymond
was the youngest of 10 siblings; all have died.
Raymond never married. His only survivors are a few cousins. One is John Coleman who lives in St.
Louis, Missouri.
He worked many years as a sheet metal worker in St. Louis. We owe him a debt of gratitude for serv-
ing our country in the U.S. Army during WWII. He attended the First Baptist Church of Ironton until
moving to The Baptist Home where he attended services there.

playing the organ there for over 40 years.

On August 20, 1944 he was united in marriage to Sarah (Hawkins) Green, who preceded him in death
on October 16, 2010. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a son, Wesley Wayne
Green; three brothers, Billy, Frank, and Arthur Green; two sisters, Virgie Green and Gladys Orrick.
Surviving are: two daughters, Beverly Malicoat of Farmington, and Diana Back of Richmond, Texas; 9 grand-

Dorothy M. Belanger, 87 years, 10 months and 17 days, passed away Tuesday, November 29, 2011, at The
Baptist Home, Ironton, Missouri. She was born January 12, 1924, in St. Louis, Missouri, a daughter of the
late Joseph N. Belanger and Eleanor (Kaiser) Belanger.
Dorothy had worked as a Bookkeeper for the YMCA for 28 years. She was also a Bookkeeper for the
U.S. Government, General Cable for 3 or 4 years. And she was a Secretary for the Lutheran Church Missouri
Synod for some time.
Dorothy loved to swim and play tennis. She enjoyed these activities for many years with her dear friend,
Loreen Gephardt, mother of Missouri Congressman Dick Gephardt. She remained very close to Dick and
Jane Gephardt and Don and Zenaida Gephardt, who were very supportive of her and looked after her needs.
Dorothy was a member of the Third Baptist Church, St. Louis, Missouri.

Bonne Terre, at the age of 81 years.
He was born February 2, 1930 in St. Louis, Missouri to the late Paul F. Memhardt and the late Mary
(Westbrook) Memhardt.
On September 4, 1948 he was united in marriage to Patricia (Bachstein) Memhardt, who preceded him
in death on June 23, 2010. He was also preceded in death by one sister, Nancy Gableman and one infant
brother, Paul.
Surviving are: two daughters, Linda (Philip) Williams of Cedar Hill, Mary (Jack) Guertin of Ferrum, VA;
four sons, Randy (Mary) Memhardt of High Ridge, Rusty (Patricia) Memhardt of St. Louis, Paul (Ree)
Memhardt of Ironton, and Mark Memhardt of Leadington; 15 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; one

He was the owner/operator of Killarney Propane Gas Company for many years, was a U.S. Navy vet-
eran of the Korean War, and was member of Stouts Creek Baptist Church in Ironton, where he served as a
Sunday School teacher and deacon.

Delores Dunbar Karrick (2012-02-08 11:26)
Delores Mae Dunbar Karrick, age 65, passed away Sunday, February 5, 2012 at her residence in Ironton.
She was born August 14, 1946 in Ironton, Missouri to the late Curt Vance and the late Dora (Blue) Vance.
She was also preceded in death by one sister, Geraldine Hubbs, and a great-grandson, Carter.
Surviving are: her husband, William Keeling of Arcadia; two sons, Michael Dunbar of Pilot Knob, Richard
Dunbar of Midland, TX; one daughter, Tammy Crouch of Greenville, IL; 17 grandchildren and several great-
grandchildren; two sisters, Fae Inman of Ironton, and Wanda Dearomede of De Soto; one brother, Grover
Vance of Pilot Knob; many other relatives and a host of friends.
She was a member of the Lions Club International, Staunton, IL and was a member of Bethany Baptist
Church in Ironton.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, February 10th, at 10:00 AM at White Funeral Home Chapel with
Rev. Henry Shelly o ciating. Interment will be in the K. of P. Cemetery in Ironton. Visitation will be

Diane Bien Rennie (2012-02-08 11:29)
Diane Marie Bien Rennie, age 67, passed away Monday, February 6, 2012 at her residence in Ironton.
She was born March 14, 1944 in Britton, South Dakota to the late Oscar Bien and the late Dorothea
(Schultz) Bien. She was also preceded in death by one sister, Karen Maynard.
On August 17, 1985 she was united in marriage to Charles Daniel Rennie.
Surviving are: her husband, Dan Rennie of Ironton; three step-children and 3 grandchildren; two brothers,
Warren and Arlow Bien, both of Bismarck, North Dakota; ve sisters, Careadell Richter, Evonne Meyho ,
Janet Cincush, and Ranae Sexton, all of Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, and Corrine Munson of Bloomington,
Minnesota; many other family members and friends.
There will be a private Celebration of Life service.

Shawn M. Sims (2012-03-06 13:34)
Shawn Michael Sims, age 13, passed away March 4, 2012 at Cardinal Glennon Children s Medical Center in
St. Louis, after a long illness.
He was born March 23, 1998 in Farmington, Missouri to Martin Mardel Sims, Sr. and Pamela Marie
Usher.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Angela James.
Survivors include: his mother and step-father, Pamela and Leo Gusman of Farmington; his father, Mar-
tin Sims, Sr., his grandmother, Estella Usher of Ironton; two brothers, Levi Sims and Martin Sims, Jr.; four
sisters, Sunshine Sims, Shannon Sims, Heavenly Sims and Emily Sims; and many other family members.
A private Celebration of Life service will be held.
Arrangements are under the direction of White Funeral Home in Ironton.


Clarence L. Goggin (2012-03-09 13:21)
Clarence L. Goggin, a resident of Arcadia, passed away March 6, 2012 at the Iron County Hospital in Pilot
Knob at the age of 83 years.
He was born August 18, 1928 in Goodland, Missouri to the late Osro Goggin and Pearl (Harbison) Goggin.
He was also preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
Surviving is one sister, Mae Jennings of St. Louis; a dear friend, Hank Browers of Arcadia, many other
relatives and a host of friends.
He was a U.S. veteran of the Korean War and was a member of Rock of Praise Church in Banner.
There will be a Celebration of Life service held at a later date.
Arrangements are under the direction of White Funeral Home in Ironton.
